Linking Arms 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students completed a service learning project on December 10, 2009 @ 3:00 p.m. Selected students visited the Gulf Coast Kid’s House and delivered diapers, wipes, socks, and cards to children who are less fortunate.

Donations were given to case workers by Linking Arm students, family members, and staff members. Mr. Dickerson also purchased many diapers and wipes in order to help support student efforts.

The director of the Gulf Kid’s House was very gracious and gave the students and tour of the Gulf Coast Kid’s House on their Healing Hearts Day. The children were allowed to participate in a question and answering session.  Our students left the field trip having a greater understanding of children who suffer abuse and neglect. Linking Arms students learned once again that giving is receiving.
