Player and Parent Agreement

There comes a time in any organization when the informal, word-of-mouth way to conduct business is not efficient or sufficient anymore, and that time has come for our Sports Program.

This Parent/Player Agreement is a way to ensure that all parents and players are aware of the scope and purpose of the Linking Arms Flag Football Program. Linking Arms is the governing body for our Flag Football program.

All Linking Arms parents and players have the following expectations:

Parents:

• 1. Know the rules and teach the rules. (Can be obtained from www.LinkingArms.org)
• 2. Always remember this is only a game
• 3. Lead by example and demonstrate positive support and sportsman like behavior
• 4. Emphasize that doing one’s best is more important than winning
• 5. Respect the game officials and refrain from being disrespectful to others
• 6. Ensure players conduct themselves with sportsmanship and maturity
• 7. Teach your child to behave appropriately at all times
• 8. Always keep in mind that skill development and team ideals are the goal

Players:

• 1. Have fun!
• 2. Work hard to improve your skills
• 3. Be a team player and respect other players
• 4. 70% Attendance at practice is required if you want to play in games on Saturday
• 5. Go to practices on time and participate fully
• 6. Learn the rules, and play by them, and be a good sport
• 7. Listen to and respect your coach, referees, and parents

I, the undersigned parent/guardian/participant, understand that he/she/I, in attending any flag football related activity with Linking Arms, Inc. and using the facilities does so at his/her/my own risk. Linking Arms, Inc., and its owners, employees, and agents, shall not be liable for any damage whatsoever arising from any personal injury or property loss sustained by participant and his/her/my family in or about any programs on the premises. Participants and parents assume full responsibility for all injuries and damages which may occur in or about any programs on the premises and he/she/I do or does hereby fully and forever release, discharge, and hold harmless Linking Arms, Inc., all associated facilities and its owners, employees and agents from any and all claims, demands, damages, rights of action, present or future resulting from or arising out of any person’s participation in any programs or use of its facilities. In addition, he/she/I agree(s) to follow the rules of play and conduct set by Linking Arms, Inc. He/she/I understand(s) that failure to do so may result in suspension from participation.

CONSENT: I, the undersigned parent of/guardian of/participant verify that they are in good health and I assume the health and responsibility for the participant and do hereby grant authority to the staff of Linking Arms, Inc. to render judgment concerning medical assistance or hospital care in the event of an accident or illness during my absence. I hereby authorize Linking Arms, Inc. and its assigns to utilize any and all photographs, pictures or other likeness of me as the deem appropriate in its promotional materials.
